CREPE CONTROL AT THE YANKEE The application of our coating chemicals and our technical know-how enables customers to optimise specific quality parameters, and also increase the productivity of the paper machine. Creping is a special area of interest for our customers. The creping process is carried out by the doctor blade shearing the fibre structure of the paper web. With better adhesion of the paper web to the cylinder, more fibres are sheared resulting in a finer crepe structure.
